406 MHz EPIRB with AIS & Infra-Red
A float-free satellite EPIRB that works the rescue problem at two scales at once. The 406 MHz signal alerts Cospas-Sarsat globally, while the built-in AIS transmitter and infra-red strobe guide the vessels actually nearby onto the survivor — which is what closes the final few hundred metres.
